Undocumented

Undocumented students of all ethnicities and nationalities can find a safe environment and supportive community at the University of New Mexico. Whether you’re thinking about applying to UNM or already a student at one of our campuses, there are various programs to help you transition to and succeed at UNM.

UNM offers a range of support services — from academic and personal counseling, to financial aid and legal advising — that can help you balance being a full-time student while handling other day-to-day challenges you may face. In fact, every campus has designated staff or faculty members who can work with you to find the right support on campus and answer your questions.

And if you want to connect with students like you, each campus has a student group, club or organization where you can find an encouraging peer network.

The UndocuTask Force, assembled under the direction of the Provost, is charged with strengthening resources and support services for these students by establishing a formal network of internal units and community partners.

The committee has focused early discussion on admission and financial issues, making resources easier for students to find, and offering trainings to front-line staff and faculty, among other issues. Visit undocumented.unm.edu for the latest information.
